CarbHealth, One Of The Oldest And Largest Low-Carb Support Sites, Gets An Overhaul
CarbHealth(TM) Redesign Launched
For Immediate Release
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y./EWORLDWIRE/Aug. 4, 2004 --- CarbHealth.com today announced that a new version of their web site has been unveiled. The online support site, which was developed by Tiffany Anthony in early 1998, has been showing a dramatic traffic increase in the past year thanks to the low carb enthusiasm fueled by the media and product manufacturers.
"Traffic trends have shown that the 'Newbie' area of the site is getting quite a bit of attention. As word spreads about success with the various low-carb plans, people go online to research," said Anthony, who was also Founder and Editor-In-Chief of CarbHealth(TM) Magazine, published from 2002 through early 2004.
CarbHealth(TM) provides visitors with hundreds of articles, recipes, tips, product announcements, reviews, bulletin boards, and online shopping - at no charge. There are areas for fitness, specific health issues related to sugar and carbohydrate consumption, and areas for those just seeking weight loss.
The 'Low-Carb Retailer Directory,' a directory of low-carb specialty stores throughout the United States, is an exclusive CarbHealth(TM) feature. Listing a store is free and proves as a valuable resource for consumers trying to find products in their area, as well as for stores seeking additional marketing. "This is much more popular than I had expected," said Anthony. "I am getting daily requests to be added to the directory. Stores are also contacting me to let me know people have found them on my site."
One of the many additions in the website redesign is an 'Industry' area for Press Releases, Product Launch Announcements, and Tradeshow/Conference Schedules. Product manufacturers are encouraged to contact Anthony for information on how to post a free announcement or release. Product Reviews are also done free of charge.
Also recently added is a Free Email Newsletter Service where visitors can opt-in to a variety of categories and receive targeted information.
The CarbHealth.com Forums, which have been nominated in the 'Best Online Community for Support' category of the CarbAware Consumer's Choice Awards, offer information, support, and most importantly, 'friendship,' to those following a low carb lifestyle. Members may post recipes, share stories, and help each other through difficulties.
Anthony, who works a regular full-time job and maintains CarbHealth(TM) as a labor of love, explained, "This site helps me to help others. I hope that it will continue to help not only consumers and dieters, but the entire industry."
