A Joyful Affair

An online storefront for wedding and other party favors, accessories, and gifts.

The site is a full e-commerce solution using the Magento storefront software. Major customization was needed to design a unique and easily-navigable site that stands out in the industry. Over1500 products were manually entered, as well as photo manipulation and optimized descriptions. The site has received daily orders since inception in April 2008.

The Fulfillment Company wanted to update their outdated web site for a more modern and professional look.

Favor Bonanza

Storefront offering wedding favors, bridal shower favors, and anniversary party favors. Site launched Aug. 1, 2008.

Customization for Magento storefront software involved CSS tweaks, graphic design, and Photoshop manipulation to remove backgrounds from thumbnail images to make a more uniform shopping experience.

Project also required MySQL database creation, PHP editing, installation of shopping cart software, setting file permissions via FTP, configuring cart for PayPal integration, email templates, company information, manually entering 100+ products, and creating Google datafeed for shopping search visibility.

Artist Helen Hine creates beautiful one of a kind handcrafted Old World Santa figures. She needed a site that would compliment her creations without overpowering them.

With a photo gallery, press section, and complete workshop overview, Helen's artwork is available to online viewers, thus growing her business further than just craft fairs. Contact information on the site has enabled Helen to make multiple sales - many within the first two months of its online presence - and with no further marketing!!

CarbHealth was originally designed in 1998 and has been redesigned 23 times!

The support site offers everything from health articles to low-carb recipes.

Though the market for low-carbohydrate diets has dwindled, the CarbHealth site and it's forums still have over 1600 members, and generate an acceptable monthly income.

Features include articles, basics for newbies, recipes, shopping, forums, and more.

A1Figurines is a division of Wholesalers1.

Based in Tennessee, this wholesale company owned by Gary Mason, sells everything from polyresin figurines to power tools and swords!

The project required php editing of a popular shopping cart system, header design, and addition of products through both database and manual editing. The site is also secure with an SSL Certificate for safe online shopping.

A Diamond Image

A retail e-commerce site selling discount wedding favors, invitations, accessories, gifts, and more. Site includes complete integration with credit card processing and order maintenance. Articles including Google Adwords create extra revenue and draw in readers interested in wedding information.

Aesthetically pleasing, fully functional - this site began generating sales the first week it was posted and is now a successful online retail business with excellent search engine ranking for its young age.

A Baby Image was a separate site selling baby shower favors but the product line was merged with A Diamond Image to provide one-stop shopping for all favor needs.

Mockup for Specialty Retailer

This site was designed for a retailer of fine-art greeting cards to showcase their products online. The company's existing web site was too dark and the image resolution was not to their liking. This redesign mockup was enthusiastically accepted, but circumstances with a middle-man ended the relationship.

Wholesale411

Wholesale411 is a pay-per-click search engine serving the wholesale and retail industries. The site has been online since 1999, but in 2004 a redesign was needed. I created an aesthetically pleasing layout to incorporate all of the various features the client needed.

New owners of the site have since removed this design and stripped the site down to bare minimums... but this redesign had made the previous owner increased revenue from the first day it launched.

Wholesale Index

Previously owned by ALDNet Media Group, this site was originally just a textual list of information about the wholesale business. The redesign brought color and enthusiasm to the site and traffic was on the rise.

New owners have stripped the site down and don't appear to be utilizing the site to its full potential.

Mockup for Wholesale Membership Site

ALDNet Media owned a wholesale membership site which needed a drastic overhaul. The original site was effective, but had no graphic appeal and couldn't stand up against typical e-book and wholesale source sites.

The design was approved and work progressed, but ALDNet then sold their business and the new company did not pursue this particular endeavor.

My Head is a Rocket

Joe, the blog author, needed a graphical header for his site. He also asked for tweaks to the existing template (Coffee Cup,) so that it would match the header better and not look like every other blog on the web using that template.

The rocket was drawn completely freehand in Fireworks and then merged with photography to make a themed page header that no one else will have!

One of my very first clients, Vicki Sue's husband contacted me to create her official web presence. (You may remember her from "Turn the Beat Around" fame before Gloria Estefan remade her song.) We launched the site in 1999 and it received great response, but Vicki Sue passed away from cancer soon after, and the site was taken down.
