That's a very good question..........one that I think would be better to discuss with the doctor. Hey my THREEsons..........if I remember correctly you're not going back on the diet trail again until July but you're due any day.....maybe you've done more research on this question and could answer deannameow for us.

watching your carb intake is fine, you know, avoid the starches but good carbs are a MUST when it comes to breastfeeding. It is food for the brain. Alot of people overload on the 'bad' carbs ie: sugar, starches, whites, and not enough 'good' carbs, fruits veggies etc. It is NOT recommended to induct or limit your choices as far as anything goes, protein, carbs, fibers, calories while breastfeeding. But in fact, and this is what I plan on doing, is eating only those carbs that are good for our bodies, and fortunately those fruits and veggies are not that high in carbs. I can post a few links that are informative about this area of concern if youd like, but since Im new here , Im not sure the policy regarding posting links and such, if they are allowed. Let me know. I plan on inducting again around July, as I only plan to breastfeed for the first 3 months, though that may all change too. :-)
