Hi all,
A couple of days ago I was having "world class" sugar cravings all day, getting worse as the day wore on. Finally, I picked up a Dr. Atkins chocolate bar while in Walmart and was was in such a state of desperation I opened it and started devouring it right after I paid for it, even before I got out of the store. Was this psychological, physical or a little of both? Sure would like to know; still learning .....
I've also got to sit down and figure what I ate to kick me out of ketisis (stick very light shade this AM) yesterday.

Earnie, I sometimes go thru these cravings when I have eaten something a little too high carb or when I eat too many artificial sweeteners, and especially when I am in induction the first 4-6 days I have these cravings. I have found, for myself, that if I get these cravings, I stick to basically meats, veggies, and up my protein intake. This really helps my cravings go away. Good luck to you.

Ernie there are going to be times when you go through cravings even when all is going totally right with your eating. Try not to rely on too many of the so called legal sweet treats to curb them since a lot of them have hidden carbs and Maltitol in them that cause stalls or even worst cravings for some of us.

Make a home made treat so you'll know exactly whats in it and you can control the potion size as well.

Hope it's over now.
