Well, I've been having very bad upper right abdomen pain for 4 days now. Finally had an ultrasound done and I have a kidney stone. Doctor says no more Atkins for a while. I cannot even BELIEVE how much pain I'm having. Has anyone out there had this experience ever? I was SO sure it was my gallbladder, but it's a kidney stone. Hubby went to the pharmacy to pick up pain killers. Hope they work. I really hope no one else has to go through this pain!

Pooh,

Sorry to hear about your stone. My father had one and he said the pain was excruciating.

Hope you pass it soon!

I'm sorry to hear about your painful situation. Try to see if your hospital has a lithotriptor. It does a really fantastic job of breaking up the stones into passable size pieces and it is a non-invasive procedure.

I hope you are feeling tip top in no time.
