Well, I've been having very bad upper right abdomen pain for 4 days now. Finally had an ultrasound done and I have a kidney stone. Doctor says no more Atkins for a while. I cannot even BELIEVE how much pain I'm having. Has anyone out there had this experience ever? I was SO sure it was my gallbladder, but it's a kidney stone. Hubby went to the pharmacy to pick up pain killers. Hope they work. I really hope no one else has to go through this pain! Posts: 16 | From: USA | Registered: Feb 2002

I'm sorry to hear about your painful situation. Try to see if your hospital has a lithotriptor. It does a really fantastic job of breaking up the stones into passable size pieces and it is a non-invasive procedure.
I hope you are feeling tip top in no time.
