Hi All. Last week...something seemed to push me out of ketosis. My sticks suddenly went to tan again. I had completed induction and then started my first two weeks with the addition of 5 carbs. My weight pretty much stayed the same but I had been out of ketosis for 6 days. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get back in. Someone on another site recommened that I "cheat" for a day and then start back on the diet. (Some attempt to shock my body or something.) So, I took Saturday "off". It was actually hard to make myself eat starches again, but I did it. Then yesterday, it was hard to get back on! Anyway, I have read that some believe that it isn't good to restart induction (because of yo-yo-ing) and other say it is necessary. Any advice? Heather

Hello Heather I'm just 2 weeks out of induction also. I started adding a little more carbs also. I'm still losing weight but at a slower pace. I drink at least 96 to 100 oz of water a day. I eat romaine lettuce and have cut my cheese to 3oz every other day. I stopped eating processed foods like deli meats, hot dogs etc. I have increased my good green leafty veg to add up for the extra 5 carbs increments this week. Dr. atkins also says you can add strawberrys and other fruits that are within the 5 carbs. If I were you I would keep eating as you are and not go back to eating the high unhealthy carbs. Dr. Atkins says there are stalls but If you are eating the right things oneday you will wake up and be at your goal. One more thing. I do test with the ketone strips. I have never went pass the light pink and I'm losing weight. Mayby if you post your diet we can look at it. I'm no expert at this but we can work at this together. 165/155/130
