Ive restarted doing atkins over 5 weeks ago. For the first 4 weeks I didnt do atkins properly but started more on phase 2 then induction. Last week I went back to induction and lost 6 pounds however today my weight is up two pounds on yesterday mornings weight. I normally eat 4-5 times a day but yesterday only ate 3 times and didnt excercise for two days. Would weight have gone up because of lack of food or no excercise? I ate the same foods as usual including salad and drank load of water.

I've been following Atkins for the last 10 years and I have maintained my weight except for 2 pregnancies in that time period. For some reason I ALWAYS have days where my weight is up (sometimes by 4 or 5 pounds) but a few days later I lose those pounds plus another 1 to 3 pounds. I also always retain some water right before my TOM and it goes right back to normal shortly after. But if you are truly stalled or are having a hard time getting into ketosis you may want to look into doing the fat fast for 3 days, it'll squash your cravings and put you into full ketosis very quickly.

I have the same issues, sometimes, where my weight jumps up almost 5 lbs and then the next I drop it + some. Right now, I am having a hard time with sweets. I think it is because of my PMS, so I am hoping to just muddle through it with sugar-free candy.
