Hello Everyone My name is Karlyn it is Sunday night and I have just had my last high carb meal....in the morning I am prepared to start over on my L/C diet. I had lots of success on it before but unfortunatly have gaid all the weight back and I have been extreamly depressed and am ready to get back on the wagon...im afraid it will be harder this time around since my child is now living with me and I have really enjoyed eating it up with her (baking, popcorn w/movies,ect.) Sooo, i'm really going to need all the support I can get....my first goal is to just fit back in the jeans that I last grew out of lol. I need to lose about 50 pounds a little more or less ( I am scared to weigh, but have to tomorrow morning urg!) So wish me luck please and same to all of you..

Hi Karlyn

How is the induction going?

Im new here as well, but fairly familiar with ATkins. Just remember not to get discouraged. Some people expect the weight to fall off, and alot get discouraged because even though they may be in ketosis and elimating all the carbs needed, they arent losing at a pace they think they should, it will all happen one day, thats how it usually happens.

Remember also, to drink that water! Crystal light is good too. Or add a little lemon to your water. I drink about 120 oz a day. But 64oz + is good.

:-)

I have gained over 20 pounds in the past 10 months or so and I need to get it together TODAY. I did not lose over 80 pounds to just gain it all back again. I am totally focused. Hope you're doing well Karlyn. Wish me luck everyone!

grcor,

I gained back 65 lbs. in the past 2 years. I re-started last week and already had one cheat ( a big chinese buffet binge on Saturday night.) PM me if you want to keep eachother motivated. I'm getting married in October and my dress doesn't fit! I need a strong email pal.

:-)

Tiffany,

Congratulation on your upcoming wedding. Good luck!!

It's very hard to stay focused. I really can't believe I let myself gain back some weight. I was so focused last year and promised myself that I would never gain the weight back and here I am more than 20 pounds put back on.

I think you should get your wedding dress the size that will fit you instead of getting one that you feel pressure to have to lose weight to fit into. Getting married and planning a wedding is enough pressure on any woman! Try to just maintain your weight now and after your wedding you can focus all your energy on losing weight.

Yes, I'll be your email buddy!

Hi, I am new to this site but not to low carb; however, I have not been very successful and thought that maybe a little support would help. I am 200 lbs and very depressed about it and in the past I would lose for the first 3 weeks than nothing and that would only discourage me so now I am going try again. It seems like the low carb eating plans are the easiest, we shall see. Hope to get to touch base with the members in the near future. Thanks for listening.. Christine

Paula and Christine,

We can definitely do this. I love pizza too (yummy) and you can still have it in moderation once you're on your way to losing weight. I love food PERIOD and life is tough but there's nothing in this world like the way I feel when I'm thin. I am willing to give up some pizza. Hope you've both done well the past few days. Give an update!

I've also lost 8 pounds! I haven't lost anything in the last 3 days though; not even an ounce, but I'm still going to do this. The scale for me is a HUGE motivator even though they say you shouldn't go by the scale but by the inches. When I'm focused and doing well, I weigh myself every single day. It's bad!

I lost 8 lbs also!
I was in best friend's wedding this weekend and just the champagne and dinner alone (I ate nothing else the entire day!) put 6 lbs. on me! But they fell of yesterday and I'm back at my 8lb. loss.
I will keep you all updated.
Thanks for the support!

Hello all - my name is Ann, and I am a newbie to this board; not to Atkins. I lost 50 lbs. (effortlessly) five years ago and have gained back 60. I restarted Saturday and have no complaints, other than that I AM SICK OF HARD BOILED EGGS!! Breakfast is going to be a problem because I like to keep something here at work since I don't really get hungry until mid morning. I brought s/f jello, lc yogurt, ricotta, and cream. Also peanut butter. Any grab and go ideas? - probably on another board, right? Also, I would remind anyone disappointed with their scales, that even though you see no decrease in lbs, you are most likely losing inches, which is also fun!!
