I have been faithfully doing induction for a week and a half and haven't lost an ounce or an inch. I do have cold so this isn't helping matters and I know I can't give up, but have you ever heard of this?

Well, it certainly sounds unusual, but since no two people are alike pretty much anything is possible. I have to ask all the standard questions - doing induction "by the book" or by word of mouth? Drinking your water? Eating good veggies? Eating enough? Staying away from "Franken-foods"? Another possibility is that women do go through cycles that men don't and that can really mess up weight loss.
Maybe list some sample menues here, maybe we can spot something.

Are you taking any medicine for the cold? Most cough syrups have a lot of sugar in them. Nyquil also contains a lot of sugar, as well as alcohol which will stall you.

If its any help Wendita38, I was the same, lost no weight at all, so I did the fat motabilizing plan as per the book and I still didn't loose any weight, it is very disheartening for me. So now because I feel so much more better I don't do carbs and hope that eventually I will loose some weight. It was suggested to me on the site though, that cheese and nuts can stop you from loosing.....so I have cut them out and waiting to see?
