I eat at a cafeteria at work and am currently on the low carb diet. They serve breaded shrimp daily and on the nutrition facts it says .7 carbs for every dozen shrimp. Does this sound right to you? I would think they would have more? I dont mean to sound obsessive but theres not alot else I can eat for lunch/dinner at this place.

Hi Chuck, Stay away from the breading! Peel it off, or find something else to eat. Even LC breading has carbs, and certainly less than normal breading. Go to the McD's site and you'll see that 4 nuggets (with breading) has 10g carbs. http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.nutrition.index.html#3 Why don't you bring lunch with you? Half the battle is being prepared! good luck!

I agree... maybe take something to work with you that you will KNOW how many carbs you are having... Are you on induction? If not, you can take a lowcarb tortilla and put some lunch meat and cheese, lettuce and onion or what ever you want on it... roll it up and then slice it... Makes great pinwheel sandwiches!
