Hi!I have been following Atkins since Jan of this year. I have lost about 10 pounds which is great, but I have about 15 more that I want to lose and I seem to be stuck. I read in my Atkins book that some people lose slower than others (obviously I am one of those) and I tried that fat fast thing but I couldnt handle it past one day. I was very weak and light headed and I didnt feel right. Could anyone give me some advice about what might help get me out of my rut? I quit caffeine and I basically still follow the induction phase b/c I'm scared that if I add more carbs than that I will lose even slower or maybe even gain back some of the weight. I welcome any and all advice on this subject...

First off, welcome to the boards!

Have you been exercising at all? This speeds up the weight loss considerably. I was losing 1 lb. per day when combining exercise with LC.

Also, are you eating any low-carb protein bars? They can slow you way down because they contain sugar alchols and glycerin. Some people are sensitive to those and must steer clear.

Do you drink enough water? Increasing your water intake can help. And lowering your sodium intake can help also because you won't be holding on to that water.

Hope these tips help.

Thanks Tiffany!
I do eat low-carb candy bars to satisfy my sugar cravings (before I started atkins it was no big deal for me to eat 2 huge bowls of ice-cream instead of a normal meal), so I'll try cutting those out. And, I do drink a lot of water-I excercise but not as regularly as I should so I can increase that. Thank you so much for the tips-i will definitely give them a try.
