By doing the induction for 14 days, in a nut shell. By intaking no more than 20 Carbs a day, your body is forced into lipolysis/ketosis. Usally, everytime you eat once you have eatten allot of carbs and your body no longer needs it, it is stored for energy usally in the form of FAT! Now, lets think of this opposite terms, if your intake is only 20gms of Carbs a day, your body is LOOKING for that energy in the form of food intake, if you dont have that...It starts using those stored energy and uses it instead, hence, your FAT! IT ONLY TAKES YOUR BODY 24 TO 48 HOURS TO START BURNING FAT AND INTO KETOSIS!! Cool Huh!! Make sure that you drink 4 to 5 20oz of water. This is how your body will flush out the waste. In 3 months I went from 280 to 230lbs and from a size 52 to 40. The easiest diet i have done. Of course, I keep my carbs under 50 to 100 and still losing the weight just not as fast but that was my choice for more menu options. Im in the 3rd phase. You can do it. Just follow the program. Its only 2 weeks of your life to try. Go to atkins.com for help and keep me posted. GOOD LUCK! YOOU CAN DO IT!
