Here in the UK we have lots of different types of soya milk. The unsweetened ones usually have less than 0.6 g carb per 100 ml, so that's about one and a half grams per cup. I didn't like the taste when I first tried it, but I quickly got to like it (I have it mostly in tea) and now I wouldn't have real milk in my tea - DH put some real milk in my tea by mistake the other day and when I tasted it it was so horrid I actually refused to drink it!

It's surprising, though, how much the taste can vary from one brand to another - I like the Provamel and Sainsbury's own brand ones best.

I notice some people were talking about chocolate milk - I'm not a fan anyway, but I imagine you could just dissolve some unsweetened cocoa powder in a tiny bit of hot water, then mix this together with some sweetener into the soya milk and heat in the microwave to get a pretty good chocolate milk for very few carbs?

The low carb milk I found is put out by Hoods, you can get it now at a lot of grocery stores or the Wal-Mart Super Center, they carry both regular and chocolate and for a non drinker of milk I think both are great. I was having leg cramps really bad and drinking that seems to have eliminated the problem.
