I love the recipes in Sharron Long's recipe book "Extreme Lo-Carb Cuisine." I have one problem though, many recipes call for an ingredient called "milk and egg protein". I haven't a clue what that is. Is it a dry powder, liquid and where can I find it at the grocery store? Perhaps some brand names would help too.
Thanks to anyone who answers this question! [Big Grin]

I've never heard of it either. I'd venture a guess that you might be able to find it in a health food store.

My best guess is that they might be referring to Whey protein powder. I use that in a number of my recipes. In spite of the name, it is low in carbs. Or at the very least you might be able to use it as a substitute.

It's been a long long time since I've been to this part of the forum but I just went to a store called Trader Joe's here on Long Island and lo and behold, there was a can, it's powdered, of Milk and Egg Protein. It is apparently different from Soy Protein and Whey Powder (conclusion based on the fact that each of the three were line up one next to the other). I hope that this very late response helps.
