The South Beach Diet website has an update that some of you may want to know about.......the bad news is that stevia has been removed from the Allowed list but Whey Low has been added for all Phases.

Soy products may now have 6 grams of fat per 2-3 ounce serving.

Low-fat turkey sausage is allowed in all phases however it is only for once in a while use - they suggest no more than once a week. Prime rib and jerky are no longer allowed. But the really bad news........no pork rinds allowed.

Dairy products have been upped from 2 cups to 2 to 3 cups a day in all phases. This includes yogurt.

Fennel is now a Phase One goodie.

Why would they take Stevia off thier list?? Does that make any sense...or would it be because of company payment.

I cant see Stevia being a bad thing whatsoever

They removed it from the Allowed list because it has not received FDA approval. I want to know why no pork rinds anymore. Granted I never cared for them anyway but that was a biggie.
