Hi! My name is Abby and I have been doing Protein Power in one form or another since January 1998. Just wondering if anyone else does around here?
Thanks!

Abby

Abby:
Here I am. I do PP but had gotten off, now I am back on and will try to remember this forum to come to. I usually do the BB at eatprotein.com That is basically for PP but anyone can come in. Hope to get to know you better.

I have been on and off the PP bandwagon since 11/99-originally lost 40 out of 80 lbs, then started eating carbs again and now I'm back where I started. I am soooooo addicted to carbs and even when I was faithful to low carbing was always hungry, and it just didn't seem right to snack on meat and cheese.
So here I am again, and will be participating in this site for motivation and encouragement. [Cool]

Lisa:
Sounds like your story and mine are the same except I stayed on the plan for a year and lost 80# and then got off and gained 40. Now I am working on 35# to be where I was when I stopped. there is another board for Protein Power at eatprotein.com if you want to check it out. I was there before I found this one.

Thanks for the encouragement and info. A few years ago I was a member of a low carb recipe site (can't recall the name) but dropped off because there were it was less recipes and more backbiting than anything.
Keep it up, Mick!! [Big Grin]

Hi Abby: I've been on PP since Nov of 2000. I've used the PP boards during that time. Just discovered these boards and thought I meet some new people. I've read both Adkins and PP and preferred the PP as their focus is more of a way of life...not just short term and they don't sweat the small stuff. Wouldn't trade low carb for anything. Never felt better in my life. See ya around!

Add me to the list...I had a bit of a time getting logged into CHTalk (old browsers and firewalls...!), but I finally made it.

I've been PP-ing since Feb. 2002, down 40 lbs or so (hard to be sure, don't know my true starting weight). I'm now at the phase where, with 20 lbs to go I'm losing very incrementally, ounces a month instead of lbs. But I'm still reshaping, and I feel *much* better than I did before low carbing. Nice to meet you all!

Hi all

I just started PP about 3 weeks ago. I love this WOE, though it is taking some getting used to!! I will have to admit that I do sometimes wonder if I am on the right plan, as I keep reading that PP is more for general health vs. weight loss. But, I am now up to 7 lbs lost, so I will stick to it for a while [Smile]

Hello RobinBeBe and everyone else here! I am new to this site and really like it!

I love to read about health and diets and I wanted to send an encouraging note to your reply .....

If you loose weight and it is a sensible plan, meaning you feel better not toxic, then you WILL be healthy...right? We think we can't have both, but we can.

Hello Everyone! I just found this board and can't wait to get it hopping! [Smile] I've been off and on PP since 2000. Originally, I managed to drop my cholesterol over 100 points with PP and drop my triglycerides over 300 points! I've been off and on the bandwagon ever since. I started seriously PPing since just before Christmas and have lost 22lbs. I'm on my way now and am serious about this. The new low carb choices in the stores and restaurants make it alot easier as well! Anyway, I hope to be seeing more of you! Take care!

Jend
