I'm new to Protein Power. So new I haven't really started it yet. Yesterday my cardiologist told me to get the book, read it through twice before I decide to start it. My motivation is to lose weight and get off my meds (high b.p., high cholesterol & triglycerides). I picked up the book today.
Now, if anyone can point me in the direction of some good low-carb chocolate recipes I can make this work. I confess. I am a chocaholic. [Big Grin]

Please, at least get through your induction phase.......follow the book.....if this isn't the diet for you, read up on Atkins, South Beach........There are a couple of low carb goodies in the South Beach diet, one of which is made with ricotta cheese.......

Hi Karen

I think that once you rid your body of all the ickies , you will not crave chocolate, or I should say, not as much.

Atkins, has low carb chocolate things, which are rather good, but you cant have them while inducting. And you cant go overboard when you do have them, but by that time you wont want them.

It will be a struggle to begin any diet, but believe me, its all worth it and pays off in no time!

Best of luck, and btw, I live on protein!
And remember, water!, FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH, its the main key to any diet.

:-)

Here is a chocolate thing on South Beach but I don't know if it's allowed on Protein Power.

1/2 cup Ricotta cheese
1/2 tsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp instant coffee powder/granules
1/4 tstp vanilla
Splenda

Mix it all together, let set in the fridge for about an hour and enjoy.
