Can someone please post and tell me what this diet is about. I have not heard much about it yet but I tried Atkins in the recent past and found it soooo restrictive. This diet sounds, too, like a lot of protein. What are the other rules and is there a book I can buy to learn more? Thanks to anyone who replies!

Raisindogs,

I have yet to read the Protein Power book so I can't answer your question.

Anyone else have any info on this diet?

I love this WOE. It is not nearly as restrictive as Atkins and works as well. Actually, it works better since it is much easier to stay on.

There are two books about this WOE. The first is Protein Power and the 2nd is The Protein Power Life Plan. The Protein Power Life Plan has the most useful information and is easier to read.

They were both written by Michael R. Eades, M.D. and his wife, Mary Dan Eades, M.D.

I would suggest you get one of them, preferably The Protein Power Life Plan and read it. If you don't want to invest the money until you are sure you would like to try it, get it from your local library. Or, you can buy it pretty cheaply at: www.half.com

I find that a GREAT source for books that I want to keep for reference and don't want to spend a great deal of money on. Mainly, because I don't have a great deal of money and prefer to save mine for travel, which I love. [Big Grin]

I too am new to Protein Power and have ordered the book because it seems more doable than Atkins for me. Here is the URL which I used to get an idea about what it was all about. .
