Hi friends. I am back trying the low carb life again. I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease 2 years ago and was advised to get off of sugar and anything white. So I did and lost about 35 lbs. I seemed to do well on it for about 18 months and then I began to have severe attacks of my Meniere's disease. These attacks are "spells" of severe vertigo followed by nausea and throwing up for hours. Sometimes it takes me 3 days to get over them as my equilibrium is so messed up. So...when I went to the dr., she told me to not worry about my diet until I got the Meniere's under control. So I got off and you guessed it- 5 lbs. back right away. So it's back on the wagon for me. I know this is the best thing for me- as I can tell how much better I feel when I am on low-carb. It just seems that it is taking a lot longer to get myself going on the weight loss. I am back on the induction for two weeks- thought that would be the best thing for me to do. Anybody got any good ideas for a middle-aged teacher? Any advice would certainly be appreciated! Also anybody out there have Meniere's ? I'd like to hear how you cope with it. Sincerely, Susi Miller
