Didn't see a place for listing the options for eating out at sitdown resturants so I thought I'd start a spot. We have several of the chains here on Long Island which are country wide so maybe this will help.

The Chicken La Boca and the low carb cheesecake they now serve from the Atkins approved menu at TGI Friday's. Trust me - it's fantastic. Just ask them to take the cheesecake out of the freezer when you order your entree otherwise it may come to you table frozen solid (sitting and staring at a piece of cheesecake you can't eat because it's as hard as the table you're sitting at is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy). They have the largest low-carb menu I've seen so far. They even have low carb wine (the white was wonderful).

Ruby Tuesday's low carb menu got boring very quickly - thank the stars for the salad bar. Hey, Fridays are always better than Tuesdays in more ways than one!

Friendly's (an ice cream parlor chain here on Long Island) also has a small low carb menu as well as low carb vanilla ice cream and sugar free hot fudge. But was it ever a relief to see when a group of us decided to go out for a spur of the moment dinner.

Applebee's is doing a Weight Watchers menu but again, low carb options (steak, chicken, etc.) got boring very quickly.

I agree about the lo-carb menu at TGI Friday's. Some friends of ours took us out for our birthdays and I requested we go to TGI Fridays. I had the grilled Salmon with steamed veggies. It was delicious. And I was so thankful that there was Atkins approved Cheesecake available for desert. My husband received a huge slice of cheesecake for his birthday. I was so glad I could get a slice of Atkins approved cheesecake for dessert. I hope other restaurant chains follow suit with lo-carb options.
