Just a caution. I don't know if this product is new or not, but it was the first time I had seen it (at Wal-Mart) so I picked up a few bags. The product is called "Think Thin" and it's distributed by a company called "Prime Health Dietary Supplements, Inc.". There are gum drops, sour gummy worms, and gummy bears. The sweetener used is Maltitol, and the package states the following warning: "Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect."
Well, I'm here to tell ya that it certainly does! Of course, every time I opened a bag.. I finished the bag. What was I thinking? Well, needless to say, I didn't do that again. After a whole day of contraction-like gas pains, I'm now wary of eating just 1 or 2!
I will say that I have eaten other foods sweetened with maltitol and didn't have that effect. I did notice that one ingredient in them is Lactic Acid and I am a bit on the lactose intolerant side, so maybe that had something to do with it. At any rate, be careful.
