I try and drink between 6-8 glasses of water daily- eat vegetables and exercise but still have a problem with consipation. I did try a orange melcana- orange solid you put in a drink- but couldn't stand to drink

Joann, try using some good fats to ease things along--natural unsweetened nut butters, avocados, extra butter on cooked veggies, extra olive oil in salad, etc. I find that this will happen to me too if I let my fat intake dip too low (below 80-90g/day for me is average.)

You might also try a cup of strong coffee if you indulge. Hope this helps.

For how long you have this problem.Have you gone through all your basic investigations specially thyroid function tests.

I recently discovered that wheat bran works great. Water drinking, lots of fruits and vegetables didn't work for me.

Also, here is a list of food (a short one, but still [Smile] ) that may help with constipation:
