My goal this summer is to make drinking water a healthy habit. Here are some things I do to make it more interesting:
Add a slice of lemon, lime, grapefruit, peeled fresh ginger or cucumber
Add a sprig of fresh mint
Use water flavorings, like Flavors2Go, to add fruit flavors without calories/carbs/sodium. http://www.flavors2go.com
Freeze lightly flavored water until slushy.
Make decaf iced tea
Make flavored herbal iced tea
Freeze lemon, lime or cucumber in ice cubes (in ice cube trays) and use those ice cubes to make the glass of water attractive.
Do you drink from a bottle? Fill halfway and freeze. You can even flavor that half. Then add water (flavored or not) and the frozen block will help keep the rest of the water frozen for hours.
Choose a special glass. I use a clear, plastic Tervis tumbler, insulated to keep water colder. And I buy cheap neon straws at Walmart or a party store to make it seem festive. At your home, maybe there's a special crystal glass you'd feel honored to drink from?
Buy a cheap ice shaving kit (Target/Walmart) and make Snow-Cones like when you were a kid. Flavor them with Splenda syrups or Splenda and flavors2go.
Add your own tips!

Hi, Id like to bump this, as I always like to add a few things to get my water flavored. Although I love water in general, and ALWAYS freezer it until its slush, or freeze it more if Im going out in the sun, adding flavor is always fun. Especially for those that are just getting into the water consumption within their diets.
I like Crystal Lite, love it actually, and even make ice cubes out of them in a regular ice tray. Ice pops, and slush. For the slush I pour the mix in a big ziploc and freeze til slush and what an awesome summer time treat! The ice pops can be made with the cheap pop makers you can find at any local walmart or dollar tree.
Plain lemon is another favorite of mine and lemon is so good for our skin and for detoxifying the body in general. Just squeeze a lemon in your water and there you have it.
Sometimes I need some electrolytes after a good workout and will dilute gatorade, and I mean really dilute it, as I typically follow a low carb regimen. Maybe a TBSP to 25 oz of water, not that IM getting that many electrolytes, but some is better than none.
Great thread and hope you dont mind that I added just a bit to it.
