Hello all my name is Donna, I am 32 from Florida. I have always had a problem with my weight sence I was a young teen. I am at an overwheling 311 lbs. I started going to the Gym (Curves) about 1 month ago (starting weight 320 lbs) and they started me on a low carb diet. with 1200 cal's. I cant seem to find some good tasting food that doesnt have carbs or that doesnt have alot of carbs, and as for cal's I cant seem to keep attract of them. Any advice? My sweet tooth took over 2 times already. It isnt easy to go from eating anything to hardly eating. I have never been a big eatter unless I am depressed or bored. My main problem is I am eating all the wrong foods. People have said to eat atleast 5-6 SMALL meals a day, but I cant seem to find time and stuff to eat. I tend to forget to eat so I am lucky to get one meal a day. Weird how I can be this dang big and hardly eat... [Eek!] Hopefully I can meet a few people here and make new friends. Give support to one and other.

Hello,
I am in Florida as well, I have been at odds with my weight as well and now I have a son who is dealing with the same problem. I attend "curves" as well! I just can not seem to stay focused. I read your message and I think that is wonderful that you seem so up beat and positive. Continue the good work....

Donna, Good Luck to you. I too was over 300 (335 to start). I have been on a low carb diet since Sept 2003 and have lost 90 lbs. I got frustrated sometimes with stalling at one weight or another but you can do it! I set mini goals for myself like getting to use the bathroom scale (only goes up to 300 lbs). It was a big day not seeing the needle buried at the top. I've been fortunate to have a good heath food store which specializes in low carb here in town. I've also found some frozen food choices (Lifechoice and Chef's Choice). Both have made eating at work easier.
