Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 5'9" 210 pound lady who is working towards the goal weight of 165 pounds. I have lost 25 pounds since October of last year and my husband has lost 15 pounds. I feel so much better since being on this, not a diet, but what I call a lifestyle change. Next year I am getting a tubal reversal (to have children) and the doctor that is performing the surgery wants me to weigh 165 pounds. This is motivation enough to lose weight. Hope all of you have a good weekend and I look forward to talking with you all

Hello, I'm also starting back on the adkins diet. I lost over 60 lbs two years ago. Due to some old stressors coming back into my life I started with the carbs, and binge eatting. So today is the first day back. I have so many questions...sigh. Hugs, and thanks for the board and support.

Montanalady, when is your surgery?
These forums are growing every day so hopefully there will be a lot of people to share advice/tips and support.

Hey there, thanks for the warm welcome. We are planning my surgery for April of next year. Then we want to get pregnant within the year, so that means gaining some of the weight back but it will be worth it, having a child. I have never eaten as healthy as I am right now. I have a new appreciation for salads and vegetables. Well, have a safe Sunday!

Just keep yourself first in your life and remember to stop to smell the flowers every now and then. Take care and whatever you stress about, doesn't matter if you stress about it, it will still be there no matter what. It doesn't help to stress... (At least that is what my hubby tells me Take care, keep us updated on your progress.
