i just started on an adkins-like diet and am wondering is it ok for me to eat 30-50 grams of carbs perday. the recommended amount i think is 20-25 grams.

any suggestions?

If you lose weight, its ok. If you don't, try harder. Experience seems the only way to tell.

I just completed my first week on Atkins. My husband also, but he did over indulge 1 day and didnt lose as much as I did.So I think maybe you should try to stick to the 20 carbs or less. You will be able to tell in a few weeks when you weigh

I am going to eat around 30 if lower that would be good also! What are some of your meats!! no red meat or pork for me, beem doing this part for a while!
