Hi everyone! I am new to this site and feel a bit frustrated. I started the low carb diet since this January 1st. I did not cheat at all and maintained under 20 grams of carbs a day. No sugars. I feel good however it seems that my pants are still fitting like they did 20 days ago. I hear that people loose 10-15 pounds in the first week. Did anyone else experience feeling like no results were happening? I don't want to give up.

I lost absolutely nothing the first two weeks of induction, nor the first week of the second phase. About a month into it I started losing - v e r y s l o w l y. Make sure you are doing the exercise, drinking enough water and keep coming back to this website. Remember, you took all that time to put the weight on so its' going to take time to take it off.

Generally speaking, the only people that lose 10-15 lbs during induction are people that have a lot of weight to lose. When I first started low-carbing I needed to lose around 50 lbs. I lost approx. 6 lbs during induction. Then nothing for the next few weeks. Then I started losing again. Keep in mind that you are unique and will lose weight at your own pace.. even if it's not the pace you'd prefer. But losing is losing, even if it is slowly.

Also remember to take measurements. While your pants may still feel the same, you may be losing inches in other areas and you haven't noticed it yet.

Water and exercise are important, as DubhBas said, so be sure you are getting those in.

The fact that you are feeling good is a benefit in itself. If you still aren't satisfied with the results you are getting, post your menu here for us to look over,(the plan you are using would be helpful too) and we can see if there is something suspect that could be causing you problems.
