Hello, everyone. I just joined and I'm about as desperate as they come. I have done Atkins 2 years ago. I don't know why I stopped but I've gained all my weight back and I've also recently been diagnosed with arthritis and I'm in extreme pain. I must lose 80 pounds to get healthy again and hopefully give my hips and knees some relief. I need all the support you can spare. I'm going to read the book again. I don't have any of the wrong foods in my house so that helps some. I'm open to all the suggestions and hints you feel like sharing. I just can't seem to get my thinking right this time. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Welcome aboard! I just became a member this week myself. I am also desperate. I was 173lbs and lost 27lbs on the Atkins. I was also exercising. I still wanted to lose 10 more pounds. I stopped doing the diet and eventually stopped exercising. While I was exercising, though, my weight only fluctuated up to 3lbs. Since I stopped both, I have now gained 10lbs back. So now I have 20 lbs to lose. I went to the doctor's recently. She said that my blood pressure is increasing with my weight gain. So now I have to lose weight for health reasons. So for that reason, I am determined to lose my excess weight. I think reading the book again is a good idea. I know that's how I originally lost the 27lbs. The book inspired me. I know that evenings are the worse for me. That's when I am used to snacking. I haven't gone shopping yet, so I don't have anything good to snack on. One of the items that I am definitely going to stock up on is sugar-free jello! I wish you all the luck. You have my support.
