Has anyone experienced VERY slow weight loss due to certain meds? I only lost 5 LBS. after 2 months of South Beach. I take meds to lower cholestrol & tryglycerides. Am I doomed?

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I would anticipate that the longer you're low-carbing, the less you'll need the cholesterol medicine because this lifestyle actually LOWERS the bad cholerterol levels. Be sure to have it checked frequently so your doctor can adjust if needed.
Besides that, yes, some medications cause stalls. But you're not doomed... you will just lose weight slower.
I take birth control pills for my endometriosis and I know they will slow me down tremendously. I'm just starting induction again after a few months off... and I anticipate that I won't be losing 2 lbs. a day like I used to. In fact, I think I'd be lucky to lose 2 per week at this point. I hate that the pill cuases so much water retention. It'll certainly counteract a lot of the good work I'm doing... but I'll be patient and know that it's the meds slowing me down and nothing else.
